Luma Shot is Rosalina's standard special move in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. If a Luma is next to Rosalina, Rosalina fires the Luma, making it a projectile. Rosalina can charge up the strength and distance of the move by holding the button and releasing it. If a Luma is a distance away from Rosalina, she commands the Luma to come back to her. The move cannot be used if a Luma is not present. When Kirby obtains the move via inhaling Rosalina, Kirby shoots a temporary Luma that disappears after it is sent away.
Luma Shot has two variations that can be swapped once the player unlocks them. Luma Warp warps the Luma to a distance. It lacks in power but makes up for increased speed. Power Luma Shot is much slower than Luma Shot, but is more powerful, as the Luma moves in a drill-like fashion.
