| The '''Card Roulette''' is what appears at the end of each [[level]] in ''[[Super Mario Bros. 3]]''. They however don't appear in [[fortress]]es and [[airship]]s. They replaced [[Flagpole]]s from the game ''[[Super Mario Bros.]]''. When [[Mario]] or [[Luigi]] hit the Card Roulette, it ends the level, and the game awards the points to the player.

| There are three cards in the Card Roulette: a [[Star]]man, a [[Fire Flower]] and a [[Super Mushroom]]. The player is allowed to have three cards at a time. Certain combinations award the player [[1-Up]]s. If the player gets three Stars, they get 5-Ups. If the player gets three Fire Flowers, they get 3-Ups. If the player gets three Super Mushrooms, they get 2-Ups. Any other combination would result in getting one 1-Up. If the player collects three of the same cards, (three Stars, Fire Flowers, or Super Mushrooms) a firework will be blown in the picture of the same cards the player got, still giving the 1-Ups.

| Sometimes there are enemies that stay near the Card Roulette. If the player hits the Card Roulette while the enemy is still alive, it will result in the enemy turning into coins that are automatically collected, in the same manner as hitting them out of [[? Block]]s.
