Deck Dry Bones

Template:Minigame-infobox Deck Dry Bones is a boss minigame in Mario Party 9. It is the mid-boss battle against Dry Bones of Boo's Horror Castle.

Introduction

The players are standing on a rock platform, facing a smaller one with the disassembled Dry Bones lying on it. After a moment, Dry Bones assembles himself and jumps into the air. Several cards then appear on screen.

Gameplay

Each card has a color and shape on the back of them. The player must memorize which card has which color. After the cards flip over, Dry Bones will land on one of the platforms, and the players must pick one of the cards that matches the platform it is standing on. If the players choose correctly, Dry Bones will be damaged, and the players will be rewarded with three points. If the players choose a Dry Bones card, or don't choose any cards at all, Dry Bones will toss a bone at them, causing them to lose one point. Picking a card that does not match in color will cause nothing to happen.

Once Dry Bones loses Half of his HP, more colors will appear. When Dry Bones is at half health, it will stomp around in anger. After that, cards will be shuffled after they are flipped over.

The player or players who land the final attack will earn an additional three points, and the player with the most points wins.

Ending

The Dry Bones will break apart into pieces and vanish, revealing Mini Stars.

• Rules – "Watch the cards. After they flip over, try to choose a card that matches the image of the platform Dry Bones is standing on."
• Controls – "Hold the Wii Remote vertically. Point at the card you want to select, and press to confirm."
