ForwardHello, fellow Super Mario Wiki Users. I'm Wendy O. Koopa. Now, I know what you're asking me. Why would you want to use Wendy O. Koopa as a Username? I'm telling you, it's not super-original and awesome, but I happen to be a fan of her and I already know where to find a sprite when I make my signature. Anyway, I joined the Super Mario Wiki on Tuesday, May 22, 2007. I'm new here, so this page is under construction for the time being. For now, how about some general information? UsernameAs I have mentioned previously, I chose the Username Wendy O. Koopa for the following reasons: 1) Sprite-finding easy. 2) Being a big fan of Wendy O. Koopa. 3) I support the Koopalings! 4) Koopas are awesome! Editing StylePersonally, I am a big fan of the can't-go-wrong edits: small grammar edits here and there; spelling errors; punctuation; things like that. Sometimes when I find an article majorly lacking, then I will add as much as I can to it. Rarely do I create something from scratch. About Wendy O. KoopaThe hilight of the page, right? Here are some facts and figures about good ol' Wendy O. Koopa. Note: taken directly from The Super Mario Wiki article on Wendy O. Koopa Wendy O. Koopa is one of Bowser's eight children and his only daughter. Wendy is, more or less, a spoiled brat with a quick temper, often going into a rage over little things. She is also fairly materialistic and greedy. Water Land's TakeoverIn Super Mario Bros. 3, Wendy, along with her brothers, was in charge of taking over the various kingdoms of the Mushroom World; Wendy decided to take over the kingdom of Water Land. Easily taking over Water Land with her Airship and armies, Wendy stole the Magic Scepter of Water Land's king and changed him into a Kappa or a Dino Rhino, depending on the version of the game. Traveling through the lakes of Water World, Mario managed to reach Wendy's airship. Passing all of Wendy's troops and defenses, Mario made his way into the spoiled Koopaling's cabin. Wendy tried to defeat Mario by tackling him and shooting giant rings of candy at him; these attack were to no avail though, Wendy was eventually defeated. Wendy on the Chocolate IslandIn Super Mario World, during Bowser's invasion of Dinosaur Island, Wendy took over Chocolate Island. Venturing inside Wendy's fortress, Mario managed to pass all the skewering defenses inside it's walls and reached Wendy's chamber. In battle, Wendy would utilize the same attack pattern as her brother Lemmy; Wendy would pop-out of a random Warp Pipe with two "Wendy Dolls" popping-out of two other pipes. Mario would have to dodge a wayward Podoboo and bash Wendy on the head three times to defeat her. Ice-CapadesThough absent from the NES and Super Nintendo versions of Mario is Missing!, Wendy does appear in the PC version of the game. Aiding her family in their plan to melt Antarctica, Wendy guarded a corridor in Bowser's fortress. Wendy was ultimately defeated by Luigi, who was searching for his kidnapped brother. Anvil and ShieldIn Yoshi's Safari, after her father takes over Jewelry Land, Wendy decides to inhabit Pipe Island. In her battle against Mario and Yoshi, Wendy would utilize an indestructible shield, pop-out of Warp Pipes and hurl bombs. In order to harm Wendy, Mario would have to use his Super Scope to knock down a nearby, living, flying anvil on Wendy's head. After doing this repeatedly, Mario would have defeated Wendy. Casino ClashIn Hotel Mario, Wendy is the owner and boss of Wendy's Blitz Snarlton Hotel; a hotel with a casino theme. Located in Wendy O's Sweet Suite, Wendy would attack Mario by summoning hearts to open doors and attack Mario. Eventually, Wendy is defeated though. Wendy's BackAfter several years of absence from a Mario game, Wendy makes a return appearance in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. While Bowletta was invading the Beanbean Kingdom in Bowser's Castle, Wendy acted as a guard in the castle. After solving a small puzzle, Mario and Luigi were capable of battling Wendy. In combat, Wendy would attack Mario and Luigi by spitting fireballs at them and by flinging her bracelets at them; these bracelets would expand and close around either Mario or Luigi. Despite having a Lethal Bob-omb on her side, Wendy was still defeated by the combined power of the Mario Bros. Appearances In Other MediaWendy, as well as her siblings were featured in the Super Mario Amada Series, a set of three Japanese OVAs. In the Mario retelling of the story "Momotaro", Wendy and her siblings appear as minions of Bowser, aiding him in abducting Princess Toadstool. In "Shirayukihime (Snow White)" Wendy also appears as a minion of Bowser once again, like her brothers, Wendy ends-up being beaten by Mario. In The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World cartoons, Wendy was renamed Kootie Pie Koopa. Kootie Pie, like Wendy, was a spoiled brat, who often whined and complained about everything. Kootie Pie would also throw temper-tantrums when she didn't get what she wanted. Wendy was also featured in the Nintendo Comics System and Nintendo Adventure Books. Wendy even had an entire comic dedicated to her called "Fins and Roses, which has her on a misadventure with Stanley the Talking Fish. Wendy was also prominently featured in the Super Mario Adventures comic by Nintendo Power. This comic portrayed Wendy as the de facto leader of the Koopalings, being the most responsible of them. AFFILIATIONS: Koopa Troop, The Koopalings. CLOSE RELATIVES: Iggy, Morton, Lemmy, Bowser, Ludwig, Roy, Larry, Bowser Jr. HP: 350 FP: 80 OFFENSE: High. DEFENSE: Not too high. SPEED: Average. INTELLIGENCE: Average. SPECIAL/MAGIC ATTACKS: Candy Rings, Wand, Fireball, 4-way Split. STRENGTHS: Can do a bit more magic-wise than the other Koopalings. WEAKNESSES: Jumps. ITEMS: SMB3: Wand. SMW: Yoshi Egg. M&L: Max Nuts, 102 coins. POINTS: 800 EXP. BACKGROUND: Wendy O. Koopa is the only female Koopaling in the family. She is rather spoilt, and her temper tantrums can shake the whole of Bowser’s castle! In most games, she shoots rings that she dubs “Candy Rings” which, despite their name, are not sweet like candy at all, but incredibly dangerous, so avoid them at all costs! On a side note, no-one really knows what the O. in Wendy O. Koopa stands for. Wendy is the third boss in Super Mario Bros. 3 and was promoted to sixth in Super Mario World. Of particular note, all the Koopalings' names are parodies of a famous person. Wendy is named after Wendy O. Williams, a singer. QUOTES: "We just love being mean!" - SMB3 Instruction Manual. "This is the first time I've met up with Mario. I'm studying his moves very carefully." - SMB3 Instruction Manual. OTHER BACKGROUND INFO: "Bowser's ordered these wicked youngsters to guard over the traped Yoshis. They each have their own special attacks, and devising ways to defeat them in their castles is a tall order." - Super Mario World Instructions BATTLE PLANSuper Mario Bros. 3 Attack Pattern: Similar to most Koopalings, but she also shoots Candy Rings at Mario. This can make her one of the more dangerous ones. Basic Strategies: Dodge the Candy Rings and jump on her! Super Mario World Attack Pattern: Like her brother, Lemmy, she hides in pipes with two cloth-clones. Basic Strategies: You’ll know which one is her easily, the other two look like scarecrows. Jump on the real one. Mario & Luigi: Superstar SagaAttack Pattern: She’ll use Candy Rings and fireballs. She can also split into four, three of which are fake. Basic Strategies: You have 8 turns to defeat this Koopaling! Her Fireballs are faster too, so smack them back faster! When she uses Candy Rings, the rings will move under Mario and Luigi (jump to avoid the damage) and the shrink and disappear (again, jump to avoid it). Advanced Strategies: A Power Grip item from blending 5 things at the cafe would help you. When she splits into four, use Thunder Bros. to take them all out at once and lower her defence. Use red peppers to make sure you do not exceed the time limit. To battle Wendy, you will see her in a pipe, whack her with a hammer and she'll quickly disappear and reappear in the other pipe, you then have a few seconds to whack her again before you're back in square one. To accomplish this, have Mario drive Luigi into the ground with a hammer. Then, have Luigi move under the gate. Now that the brothers are separated, get one over to Wendy and one to the empty pipe. Have the first brother whack away and quickly switch brothers to whack Wendy when she reappears. MEDIA: n/a. Paper Mario TattleShe's Wendy O. Koopa, the third-youngest of Bowser's eight children, and his only daugher. ...What can I say? She's a spoiled brat, that's for sure, and always gets what she wants... Hey, she's royaly, you know? Wow... I wish I was her... Er, sorry. What was I saying? Oh yeah, she's got 7 brothers. Being the only girl, it must be tough for her, huh? Now I know how Goombaria feels... In battle, make sure that you are extremely careful. Her defense is extremely high, accompanied by her attack and HP... Try the technique with all Koopas: flip 'em over on their backs, and then start wailing on 'em! She'll eventually flip up, and when she does, she'll summon part of the Koopa Troop! Attck is 5, Defense is 3, and HP is 50! Tattle LogWendy O. Koopa, one of Bowser's eight children and his only daughter. Third-youngest of the Koopalings, she uses a magic rod to attack her enemies. Attack - 5 Defense - 3 HP - 50 Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door TattleThat's is Wendy O. Koopa. She's Daddy's little girl who screams. When she's not having her way she works herself into this flailing, explosive screaming fit of unbridled rage. She keeps it up until Bowser just can't take it anymore and gives her what she wants. He defends it by saying it helps develop bad character and lets her learn how to behave as an improper young Koopa lady. I'd say she's got it down pat. Wendy's got such an over-inflated ego that it's hard for her to get up once in a while and do something evil for the family. Unless, of course, something catches her attention. She really hates Princess Toadstool and jumps at the opportunity to make her miserable. She's dangerous, though. Attack is 5 (look at that wand-thingy!), Defense is 3 (she's got a shell with spikes, ya know!), and HP is 50. If you can seperate her from that wand, and get her flipped onto her back, her Defense will drop to 0 and her attack will drop to 1. Focus on doing that first, and then keep attacking her 'til she flips back up, then repeat. If ya keep at it, she's going down! Be careful, though. She can summon other members of the Koopa Troop to help her! Internet Quiz Time!
