A specific reason for the rewrite request can be added as a variable, i.e. {{rewrite|of poor grammar}}. A separate template can be used if the article needs to be expanded: {{Rewrite-expand}}. The date (month and year) should also be included as a second variable, i.e. {{rewrite|of poor grammar|May 2014}}, or {{rewrite||May 2014}} if no specific issues are listed. With all variables included, the template will read "...be rewritten because of poor grammar (tagged on May 2014)."
