The Brute is the main non-standard vehicle used by Wario in the races of Mario Kart DS. The kart is a checker-boarded black jalopy, resembling a 1950s American two-door sedan. It has great speed, average acceleration, weight, handling and drift, and low items. The Cucumber, the Power Flower and the 4-Wheel Cradle share a similar weight to the Brute. It has the same handling as the Light Tripper and its drifting with the Dry Bomber. The Brute bears a resemblance to the Wario Car, from Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. Wario's artwork in the car is even the same as his Mario Kart: Double Dash!! artwork, though without Waluigi in the back. It is the lightest kart within the heavyweight class.
