This is similar to Mario Party 9, as the goal may imply. The player needs to get the most Mini Stars to win the board. Like Mario Party 9, the player with the most Mini Stars wins. Players can get Mini Stars by winning minigames or reaching to the Star Stages.
Description
- NTSC: You need the most Mini Stars to win this game-no matter how fast you finish!
- PAL: Collect Mini Stars above the clouds! Timing is everything if you want to get ahead!
Mini Star Bonus Minigames
Players get Mini Stars depending on their position. 1st gets three Mini Stars, 2nd gets two Mini Stars, 3rd gets one Mini Star, and 4th gets none. When players are almost there, the bonus is changed. 1st gets six Mini Stars, 2nd gets four Mini Stars, and 3rd gets two Mini Stars.
Star Stages
Players must get to the Star Stages as fast as possible. If three players have already reached the current Star Stage, the 4th player will be carried to the current Star Stage by a Lakitu.
