- Super Mario Bros. 3 was released on the Wii U Virtual Console in Japan on December 25, 2013 and on the 3DS and Wii U Virtual Console in Europe and Australia on December 26, 2013.
- Mario Tennis was released on the 3DS Virtual Console in North America on December 26, 2013. It will be released in Europe and Australia on January 2, 2014.
- In the latest Nintendo Direct, NES Remix and Dr. Luigi (pictured) were announced for Wii U. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze was confirmed to be released on February 21, 2014, in both North America and Europe.
- Rosalina was confirmed to be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. Several new characters and courses have been revealed for Mario Kart 8. A Yoshi's Island-themed DLC level has been released for Sonic Lost World.
