- Really, it's not that it couldn't be, it's that there's a lot of games with super-powerful meteor attacks (most start with the letter Final Fantasy). Since this is Square we're talking about, and they've borrowed heavily from D&D since the original FF and built off that, who's to say they're not just continuing an established pattern as opposed to directly referencing?
