The S. S. Flavion is the beautiful ship Mario uses to get to Keelhaul Key in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
During the events of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Mario will find himself needing a ship to get to Keelhaul Key and retrieve the fifth Crystal Star, the Sapphire Star. Mario convinces Flavio to lend him his ship, although Mario finishes going to the island with a whole crew, including Pa-Patch and a disguised Lord Crump.
During the trip, the S. S. Flavion is ambushed by a group of Embers, finally sinking her. Luckily for Mario and crew, they all land safely on Keelhaul Key. However, the loss of the S. S. Flavion means a terrible economic loss for Flavio, which ends in making him the second richest man in Rogueport rather than the richest of all. The richest is, most probably, a Koopa who leaves in West Rogueport.
