Template:Minigame-infobox Jump the Gun is a 2-versus-2 minigame found in Mario Party 6. Its name comes from the phrase "jump the gun", which refers to when a person does something prematurely.
There are only aesthetic differences between daytime and nighttime.
Introduction
The player mounting the cannon fires a Bullet Bill into the first target. The other player then jumps onto it.
Gameplay

If the other player falls off the stage, a Lakitu hauls them back onto the last Bullet Bill he or she stood upon.
Ending
The winners perform their victory animations at the goal point.
