Pump 'n' Jump is a Duel Mini-game found in Mario Party 5.
The object of the game is to build up as much pressure as possible in the platform the player's character is standing on, so the character jumps higher than his or her opponent and wins. The faster the player presses the A button, the more pressure he or she builds, and therefore, the higher the character will jump.
This mini-game takes place in a western-themed town common to Duel mini-games. The most interesting feature is that when the characters jump, a small window appears in the bottom right of the screen, showing the characters high in the air, being filmed by a Lakitu. This same Lakitu also accompanies the players while they are building up the most pressure possible.
In-Game Instructions
Build up the most pressure in the platform to jump the highest. Whoever jumps highest wins.
Advice
The more you press A, the more the pressure you'll build. Press it as fast as you can!
