Template:Dtenemy Torkscrew is a screw-like boss from Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. After he devours Britta in Dozing Sands, Mario and Luigi engage battle with him.
Appearance
Torkscrew is a red creature with claws and foot claws. He also has a yellow screw on his head and sharp teeth in his mouth.
Battle
Torkscrew can attack by digging into the ground, shooting out of the sand and while in mid-air, spinning to a point above either Mario or Luigi, where he will then drop down on the Bro. he spun towards head-first. If they successfully hammer him away, he will land on his backside and be vulnerable to jump attacks and take more damage from attacks in general.
The targeted Bro. must hammer Torkscrew away in order to avoid taking damage. If successful, Torkscrew will land on his backside and be both vulnerable to jump attacks take more damage from attacks in general. He may also dive underground to have his drill pop out of the sand and slowly submerge again as he approaches a Bro. If Mario and Luigi dodge successfully, they will avoid getting stuck on Torkscrew's drill top, at which point the other Bro. must chase and attempt to collect the dropped coins and avoiding the mines until the Bro. falls off. He may also chase Mario into the background in an attempt to attack him through charging attacks while half-submerged. While doing so, Luigi is attacked by the various monsters of Dozing Sands. Both Mario and Luigi must avoid these attacks by jumping over or on to their respective attackers.
Torkscrew X
Template:Dtenemy Torkscrew also appears in the Battle Ring under the name Torkscrew X. This variation of the boss is purple rather than red and has a silver drill spike on his head. As with the other X Bosses, he can be fought in the Battle Ring.
