When all four have been fired, the Fire Chomp will self-destruct, damaging the Mario brother if he's within the blast radius. | Fire Chomps return in ''[[New Super Mario Bros.]]'' and ''[[New Super Mario Bros. Wii]]'', again with a four fireball limit. In ''New Super Mario Bros.'', they only appeared in World 7-1. In ''New Super Mario Bros. Wii'', Fire Chomps were a bit more common, appearing in World 2-6 and World 9-6. They can be defeated by just jumping on their heads. Fire Chomps also developed a new attack in ''New Super Mario Bros. Wii''. When this enemy runs out of fire, it will flash red and self-destruct seconds later, but not before chasing Mario much faster than it was originally doing. Oddly, they can be defeated with [[Fireball|fireballs]].
