Star Power, or SP, is a special meter in the Paper Mario series. Every time Mario rescues a Star Spirit or collects a Crystal Star, his maximum Star Power goes up by one.

In Paper Mario, they are indicated by bars at the top of the screen. Each Star Spirit power uses from one to three SP. It takes eight turns of battle to fully recharge one SP bar.

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, SP is indicated by circles instead of bars. Each Crystal Star power uses from one to six SP. SP is recharged by the audience when Mario performs successful attacks. SP recovery can be augmented by executing Stylish Moves or wearing certain Badges.
