The Poison Mushroom came back as a capsule in Mario Party 5, where it went under the name Cursed Mushroom and could be thrown to a space on the board, or used on the player for five coins. It's effect was still the same as from Mario Party 2 and Mario Party 3. In Mario Party 6, it became an Orb that players could only use in Solo Mode, where they could only roll 1-3 on their dice. In Mario Party 7, it was an item that was only given away by Koopa Kid for anyone who landed on a Koopa Kid Space.
