Template:Pmenemybox Spunias are an extremely powerful sub-species of Spinias found in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Spunias resemble pink Spinias and possess spikes like Spanias. They have fangs coming out of their mouths. Spunias are the strongest sub-species of Spinias, having a large amount of HP and attack power. They also have defense, unlike their relatives Spania and Spinia. Only one appears outside of the Pit of 100 Trials. It lives in the Rogueport Sewers, and its room can only be visited after Chapter 5.

Trivia

  • The name Spunia derives from spun, the past tense verb of spin (Spinia's namesake), and a corruption of ya, the slang form of you.
  • The Spunia in Rogueport Sewers does not spin into Mario when he gets near it unlike other Spunia.
  • Spinias and Spunias were going to be in Super Paper Mario but were taken out. However, Spanias are still in the final game.
  • With the exception of Amazy Dayzee, Spunia is the deepest enemy (Appearing in Floors 81-89) in the Pit of 100 Trials that can be fought above the pit.
