Mimic is a treasure-chest item with sharp teeth and a tongue in Mario Hoops 3-on-3, only available in Bloocheep Sea. It actually first appeared in Final Fantasy IX.
The chest will try to chomp the player who has the ball by chasing him or her around the course, but is slow and easy to avoid if the player keeps on moving. Sometimes, Mimic will instead spit out many Red Coins and Gold Coins upon being used.
