Lineland is the setting of Chapter 1 in Super Paper Mario. This land consists of four parts:
- Lineland Road is a grassy plain populated with Goombas, Koopa Troopas, Squigglets, and Sproing-Oings. It is also home to Bestovious, the wizard that teaches Mario how to flip. Chapter 1-1 takes place here.
- Mount Lineland is a mountain that houses Yold Town, as well as Boomer the Pixl. Chapter 1-2 takes place here.
- Yold Desert serves as the first encounter with O' Chunks and the entrance to Yold Ruins. Chapter 1-3 takes place here.
- Yold Ruins is where Mario and his Pixls had to explore before meeting Fracktail and getting the Pure Heart. Chapter 1-4 takes place here.
It may also be noted that part of Lineland is a recreation of World 1-1 of Super Mario Bros..
