|This is accomplished by having a well-built community that follows our rules and policies as a whole. Which brings us here. It has recently come to our attention that you are violating the [[MarioWiki:Userspace|Userspace Policy]]. Your infringements may include the following:

*Creating unnecessary [[MarioWiki:Userspace#What about user subpages?|user subpages]].
*Having too much substantial or non-permitted userspace content, like excessive swearing or personal information. Fake "New Messages" boxes and other fake notice templates, spam, and illegal game links (such as ROMs) are also not allowed.
*Custom formatting that interferes with the basic appearance of the wiki, such as hiding the sidebar or editing tabs.
*Archiving your talk page too frequently (it should only be done in big, periodic intervals).

Which brings us here. It has recently come to our attention that the vast majority of [[Special:Contributions/{{BASEPAGENAME}}|your edits]] seem to be on userspace pages ([[MarioWiki:Userspace|userpages]], [[MarioWiki:Userspace#What about user subpages?|user subpages]], talk pages, etc). While we understand how important it is to become known in the community, the wiki as a whole would benefit more from edits on mainspace pages ([[MarioWiki:Manual of Style|articles]], [[MarioWiki:Categories|categories]], [[Help:Template|templates]], etc).
We advise you to adhere to this notice, or the situation may escalate and a [[MarioWiki:Warning Policy#Procedure|Warning]] will be issued. Please remove/alter said content, and tag all unnecessary subpages with <code><nowiki>{{delete}}</nowiki></code> to comply with the rules.

Please don't take this as a discouragement from enjoying the community. We just need to make sure that your userspace follows our guidelines. Thank you, and keep contributing!

Hello, Userspace!

The Super Mario Wiki sure is a great place, huh? We strive to have the most comprehensive articles and best resources available about our favorite plumber. This is done by having a nice mix of quality editing and a supportive community. Which brings us here. It has recently come to our attention that the vast majority of your edits seem to be on userspace pages (userpages, user subpages, talk pages, etc). While we understand how important it is to become known in the community, the wiki as a whole would benefit more from edits on mainspace pages (articles, categories, templates, etc).

If you are unsure as to how you can help in the mainspace, you could:

  • Try to expand an article on our stub list.
  • Click "Random page" in the navigation box to the left. Maybe you'll happen upon a problem no one else has found!

Please don't take this as a discouragement from enjoying the community. The wiki is, first and foremost, for mainspace edits related to Mario. However, we do have other community geared channels, such as:

Together, we can make the Super Mario Wiki a fun and informative place for all. Thank you, and keep contributing!

Usage:
This notice is issued when a user violates the Userspace Policy, or more specifically, makes too many userspace edits. For userspace violations, use this code on a new section of the offender's talk page: {{Userspace|your username|0}}. If a user makes too many userspace edits, use this code: {{Userspace|your username}}. If the user who receives this notice does not adhere to it, then a Warning may be issued, as explained here.
