- In the lastest Nintendo Direct, Satoru Iwata announces that a new Yoshi, Mario Kart, Super Mario 3D titles are development for Wii U and both shown at E3 2013. Super Smash Bros. to be also shown at E3.
- Nintendo has announced that Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon will be released on March 24, 2013 in North America.
- Super Mario Bros. 3 (pictured) was released on the 3DS Virtual Console in Japan on January 1, 2013.
- Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels was released on the 3DS Virtual Console in North America, Europe and Australia on December 27, 2012.
- Nintendo launched Nintendo TVii in North America on December 20, 2012.
