A Bībī is a bee enemy from the Tree Zone in Super Mario Land 2, found only in Area 4 of this zone and no where else in the game. When Mario enters their beehive home, the bees attack the intruder by slowly homing in on him and attempting to sting him. They can be defeated by a jump attack, but fireballs will have no effect.
The undead variety are known as Skeleton Bees.
Trivia
- Būichis appear to be giant Bībī.
- Bībī have a very similar name to Bunbun from the first Super Mario Land, and may be related.
- Their sprite appears to have been recycled from another game, Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, where it was called a Busy Bee, flew more quickly, and would often circle its target to intimidate it.
- They bear some resemblance to the enemy Buzzer from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
