Eggling

An Eggling (a Giraffe Eggling, to be specific).

Egglings are the natives of Eggland that were attacked by the Koopa Troop during the events of Yoshi Topsy-Turvy. They managed to escape to Yoshi's Island, but they were turned into apples by one of Bowser's spells and trapped inside the pop-up book that Yoshi's Island had become with everything else. When prompted by the Spirit of Cuteness, Yoshi ate the apples and returned the Egglings to their old selves.

There are at least 100 Egglings; they come in three sizes and twenty varieties, including Gold, Silver, Pearl, Zebra, Panda, Tiger, Leopard, Giraffe, Squirrel, Cow, Snake, Turtle, Bee, Deer, Dove, Flamingo, Raccoon, Owl, Angel, and Bear. Each individual Eggling also has a name; their names are puns based on their type.
