Dark Lakitu are the sinister relatives to Lakitu. Although at first glance they are identical to their cousins, many subtle details separate them. Firstly, their Jugem wears sunglasses. Secondly, they are slightly darker and more brown. Thirdly, they have a mean look on their face. Finally, Dark Lakitu throw Sky Blue Pipes instead of Spiny Eggs.

Dark Lakitu are only encountered in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (although some have suggested that Lakithunder of New Super Mario Bros. is a Dark Lakitu). Of the Dark Lakitu in the game, the only fight-able ones are in the Pit of 100 Trials.
