Skyscraper is a battle course in Mario Kart 64. The battle takes place on the roof of a giant skyscraper, making it possible to bump opponents off the stage. It is unknown what building the skyscraper is. There are several gaps in the roof, making it easy to fall accidentally and lose a balloon.

This stage also appears in the game Mario Kart Wii for the Wii. In this course's Wii reincarnation, it was made larger in order to accommodate 12 racers and the edges of the gaps in the roof became ramps to make tricks.

Instruction Manual Description

It's a wild battle on top of the skyscraper! If you fall off the building, you will lose one balloon. There are no guardrails to keep you from falling, so don't speed too much. A highly effective strategy for attacking your opponents is to crash into them in an attempt to knock them off instead of relying simply on the use of items.

Trivia

  • On September 2008's 1st tournament for Mario Kart Wii, Bomb-Cars appeared on this course.
  • There are 4 numbers from 1-4 on the roof. In Mario Kart 64, the numbers are in the following order (clockwise) 1,3,2,4. The order was fixed in the Wii edition of the series.
