1-UP is a microgame that can be played in WarioWare D.I.Y. or WarioWare D.I.Y. Showcase as downloadable content. This microgame was released as a Weekly Game on May 20, 2009 in Japan, April 19, 2010 in North America & May 21, 2010 in PAL regions.
Gameplay
The microgame is based off of the game, Super Mario Bros.. The point of the game is to get a 1-Up Mushroom. The game starts off with Mario on an orange platform. The player then has to tap Mario to jump on another orange platform. Then, the player has to hit a ? Block where a 1-Up Mushroom pops out. After that, the player has to tap the other ? Block where a coin will come out. However, timing needs to be right in order for the 1-Up Mushroom to bounce off of it. If Mario gets the mushroom, the game is won. An alternate and much easier way to win is to hit the coin-giving ? Block three times, which will grant the player a 1-UP. If time runs out on the player or if Mario falls down, the game ends in a loss.
