Flip-Out Frenzy is a minigame found in Mario Party 8. It is set in a small pond with an board with grey squares and a few black ones, hosted by MC Ballyhoo. The objective is that players must compete in minigames and colour the entire board. Once a player wins a minigame, he or she gets to pick which squares he or she wants to flip over to match his or her emblem/colour. When a player picks a square, the horizontal and vertical rows of the square next to it get coloured as well. After all the squares are coloured, MC Ballyhoo flips two black squares, turning them into normal squares. Once those ones are coloured, two more a flipped again. When the board is fully coloured, including the flipped black squares, the player with the most squares of his or her emblem/colour wins.
Players can colour over other players' coloured squares as well. But players cannot flip squares if one of the horizontal or vertical rows have a black square.
