Unlike most endgame worlds of the [[Super Mario (franchise)|''Super Mario'' franchise]] (including [[World Castle]], which came immediately before it), World Bowser is not a volcanic stage; rather, it is a large amusement park built in the likeness of [[Bowser]], with a volcano in the back, and it sits high above every preceding world and there's a Ferris wheel: with a face of [[Bowser's Clown Car]].

It contains seven standard courses, four boss courses (including [[Bowser's Castle]]), a [[Mystery House]], a [[Toad House]], and a [[Sprixie House]]; it is also the only normal world without an [[Enemy Battle]]. The world is apparently powered by the [[Sprixie Princesses]], who are freed upon the completion of the world's Castle.
