[[Fire Piranha Plant|Venus Fire Trap]]s, [[Muncher]]s (which are encased in ice and become active when thawed) and [[Prickly Goomba]]s try to defeat Mario and co. while they are progressing. Mario and co. then reach an area with a large number of Venus Fire Traps blocking his way and thawing the [[Frozen Coin]]s with their fireballs.
