World 6-1 is the first level of World 6 in New Super Mario Bros. 2. This level is filled with volcanic debris which rains down from the sky, destroying platforms and blocks that contain power-ups and coins.
World 6-1 is the first level of World 6. This level contains Volcanic Debris and POW Blocks. The player is on solid ground but the ground is easily destroyed by falling Volcanic Debris. Volcanic Debris can destroy Blocks that contain Power Ups and Coins so the player has to be quick on their feet, but also cautious.

Mario begins near a number of POW Blocks, which he may activate to get coins and other items from nearby Brick Blocks. Shortly thereafter is a Red Ring Mario may pass through to make eight Red Coins appear nearby, half of which parachute down from up above along with volcanic debris. Just after this is the Checkpoint Flag. After this, there is a ? Switch which, when hit, causes several platforms to appear ahead, allowing Mario to cross over the lava while collecting coins. However, volcanic debris may destroy blocks or damage Mario. The Goal Pole is just ahead.
The player must either hit the POW blocks to get coins faster from Brick Blocks or let the Debris hit it. Then the player should continue and more Volcanic Debris falls. After the Checkpoint, Mario or Luigi must hit a switch, and then go up a bridge quickly, as the volcanic debris will smash the bridge, breaking it. The second Star Coin is trapped at the end of the bridge surrounded by the bricks. To get it, the volcanic debris must hit it. The player must then get it before the debris smashes the ground. After this is the Goal Pole.
