Mario starts off the level on a cloud. Above him and two the right is a red [[Koopa Paratroopa]] flying before another cloud platform. After reaching this platform, Mario encounters a series of seven, vertically-moving lifts. After the seventh one, a horizontally-moving lift encounters Mario. When he jumps on this lift, he comes across another vertically-moving lift. At this lift's peak, Mario is taken to another horizontally-moving lift. This is where the [[Flame Chomp|Fire Chomp]] appears and follows Mario throughout the remainder of the level. If defeated, another Fire Chomp will reappear shortly after.
