Mario starts off the level on a cloud. Above him and two the right is a red Koopa Paratroopa flying before another cloud platform. After reaching this platform, Mario encounters a series of seven, vertically-moving lifts. After the seventh one, a horizontally-moving lift encounters Mario. When he jumps on this lift, he comes across another vertically-moving lift. At this lift's peak, Mario is taken to another horizontally-moving lift. This is where the Fire Chomp appears and follows Mario throughout the remainder of the level. If defeated, another Fire Chomp will reappear shortly after. Mario then makes his way up three more vertically-scrolling lifts. He then comes across two more lifts moving side-to-side. The latter of these lifts takes Mario to the final lift of the level. This one moves vertically and helps Mario reach a cloud platform with a Warp Pipe above, however this platform is glitched to where it sometimes won’t load in. This Warp Pipe drops Mario on a cloud where a Spiny-throwing Lakitu floats in between him and the level's goal.
