'''World 3''' is the third normal world appearing in ''[[New Super Mario Bros. 2]]''. This world is both beach and jungle-themed, although the map music is recycled from [[World 4 (New Super Mario Bros. Wii)|World 4]] of ''[[New Super Mario Bros. Wii]]'', which is a beach-themed world. The world is also similar to [[World 3 (New Super Mario Bros.)|World 3]] from ''[[New Super Mario Bros.]]'' This world is unlocked after completing [[World 2-Castle (New Super Mario Bros. 2)|World 2-Castle]] or [[World Mushroom-Castle]]. The first half of the map is located at the seaside while the second half is located inland, where the jungle is, although the levels can take place between any of the two locations regardless of its position on the world map. There is a total of twelve levels and three [[Toad House]]s (one of each kind) in this world, making it the longest world in ''New Super Mario Bros. 2'', tied with [[World 4 (New Super Mario Bros. 2)|World 4]]. This world has a total of fifteen exits. Of the twelve levels, eight are levels on the main path. Of these levels, five are normal levels, one is a [[Ghost House]] and the other two are the [[Tower]] and [[Castle]] levels. Of the remaining four levels, two of them are normal levels (one is a secret level), one is the [[Warp Cannon]] level and the last is the [[Rainbow Course]]. The world's boss is [[Wendy|Wendy O. Koopa]], who is fought at the Castle. The Warp Cannon leads to [[World Flower (New Super Mario Bros. 2)|World Flower]].
