==Layout==
The player starts at the top of some stairs that lead to a pit of [[lava]] with [[Lava Bubble|Podoboo]]s jumping out and platforms placed above it. Above the center platform is the only [[? Block]] in the level, containing a power-up. After the lava are two paths lined with [[Fire Bar|Fire-Bar]]s, with the top path having more than the bottom. Next are two [[lift]]s moving in opposite vertical directions, followed by some gaps before coming to the [[fake Bowser]], which [[Fire Breath|breathes fire]] as the player is jumping across the gaps.

[[World 5-4 (Super Mario Bros.)|World 5-4]] is the harder version of World 2-4, having additional Fire-Bars and Podoboos.

In ''[[Super Mario Bros. Deluxe]]'', the player can collect five [[Red Coin]]s, find a hidden [[Yoshi's Egg|Yoshi Egg]], and get a medal based on their score. The Yoshi Egg is found in a [[Hidden Block]] above the [[Empty Block]] before the fake Bowser, and the score to beat is 14000 (13000 in the Japanese version<ref>[[tcrf:Super_Mario_Bros._Deluxe#Challenge_Mode|''Super Mario Bros.
