World 2-2 is the second level of World 2 in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels and the sixth level overall in said game. This level was a part of VS. Super Mario Bros. as World 3-2 and was imported into Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. The only difference is that the arcade version is snowy while the Lost Levels version is not.

The level starts with a Koopa Paratroopa coming after the player character. After a pipe with a Piranha Plant is a row of Goombas, Koopa Troopas, and more Piranha Plants. On the other end of the first gap is a staircase facing to the right that can make jumping onto it difficult. After another row of Troopas is a larger staircase, again facing away from the direction the player is coming from. Across a large gap with a Piranha Plant in a pipe in the center and past a group of enemies and pillars is a Brick Block containing a Super Star, which is followed by a row of Koopa Troopas. Through the pipe afterward is an underground area with Coins and Hidden Blocks containing either a power-up or a Poison Mushroom, and the pipe exits through the pipe immediately after the one the player entered from; if the player does not take the pipe, they can find a Coin Block and a power-up in the Brick Blocks after it. Above the platform with the pipe and the Koopa Troopa are two Hidden Blocks that lead to a floating pipe, which can be used as a platform to help the player over the next large gap. After a row of enemies, pillars, and platforms are stairs with Goombas walking down them leading to the Goal Pole.
