The player starts out in a room with nothing but a [[? Block]] containing a [[Super Mushroom]] and a [[Warp Pipe]]. After taking the Warp Pipe, the player ends up in a room where the only thing they can do is take a [[Warp Door]]. Going through the Warp door takes the player to an area of [[Rotating Block]]s and [[Donut Block]]s that makes a circle, a Pipe that gives [[Cape Feather]]s though blocked by Rotating Blocks, and another Warp Door below the first. This Warp Door takes the player to a vertical section where the only way up or down are Donut Blocks and a Dry Bones below. The player cannot go to the other part of the vertical section because of a [[One-Way Wall]] below and a Bill Blaster. However, the player can use the Cape to lower the Bill Blaster and reveal that it shoots [[Super Star]]s. After going down, the player needs to get past a Thwomp above Rotating Blocks and the third Warp Door, though one gives Cape Feathers. After taking the Warp Door, the path is blocked by a Thwomp with a [[Key]]. To make any progress, the player needs the Cape to either hit a Rotating Block to have it produce a [[Vine]] or use it on Rotating Blocks and content with a Dry Bones. But, if the player needs to get the Cape, there is a One-Way Wall that gives access to the first Warp Door. At the top, the player needs to use the Key to unlock the [[Key Door]]. After taking this Key Door, the player then needs to jump on a Buzzy Beetle and send him to remove Rotating Blocks blocking a Pipe that gives Super Stars or just take damage to get past the last Thwomp guarding the Warp Pipe.

Back in the main area, there is a row of Rotating Blocks and ? Blocks and a [[Hidden Block]] which contains a [[1-Up Mushroom]]. After this, the player needs to go through four rooms of three enemies, one of which is big and needs to be defeated for their Keys. In the [[Rocky Wrench]] room, there is a Pipe that gives Cape Feather, though blocked by Rotating Blocks. In the Jumping Piranha Plant room, the entrance is on a Rotating Block containing a [[Fire Flower]]. In the Dry Bones room, the entrance is on a Rotating Block containing a Cape Feather. In the Monty Mole room, the entrance is on a Rotating Block containing a 1-Up Mushroom. After these rooms, the player needs to get past the Lava Bubbles to get to the [[Giant Gate]].
