World 1-3 is the third level of Grass Land in Super Mario Bros. 3. It can be reached by completing World 1-2.
World 1-3 is the third level of Grass Land in Super Mario Bros. 3 and the third overall in the game. This level is plain-based and features Note Blocks and Boomerang Brothers. There are two secrets hidden in the level. The first one is accessed by using a red [[Koopa Troopa] to destroy blocks, revealing a space where a secret Note Block can be accessed. The shell must be launched towards the left side of the screen to destroy the correct Brick Blocks. Jumping on this Note Block takes Mario to Coin Heaven.
Layout
The player starts on a long plain with some colored Semisolid Platforms and a Boomerang Brother. Afterward is a structure of bricks that can be broken by knocking a Koopa Troopa into them, and placed above the ? Block on the left is a hidden Magic Note Block that can send the player to Coin Heaven, and the Warp Pipe at the end will bring the player back down to near the end of the level. Past the brick structure are several pillars of Wood Blocks, though the second pillar has a hidden power-up in the top block, collected by bumping into the side of the block. Afterward is a Boomerang Brother and several more Semisolid Platforms with Koopa Troopas and Goombas. After these platforms is the end of the level.

There is also a hidden Magic Whistle in World 1-3. It can be found by crouching on the white Semisolid Platform near the end of the level, after which the player character drops behind the scenery. They can continue to run to behind the black backdrop at the end to find a hidden Toad House containing the Magic Whistle.
The second secret is the Warp Whistle, which is found in a Toad House behind the goal. When standing on the white block with a red Koopa Troopa on it, Mario can slip behind the background by standing where the coin is and pressing down on the directional pad. Then Mario can run behind the black scenery to reach the Toad House.
