World 5-3 is a harder version of this level, with shorter lifts and Bullet Bills fired left; an exact copy of that level replaces this one in Hard Mode.

In Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, this level was recreated as Classic World 1-3. It also appears in Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS as World 3-1 in the Super Mario Challenge.

Trivia
*World 5-3 is a harder version of this level, with shorter lifts and Bullet Bills fired left.
Difficulty
Sufficient jumping power
The first one appears at the beginning of the game. If you go to get gold coins, you need enough jumping power to get up.
The second appearance is very close to the first one. If you want to take a super mushroom, it's very simple, but if you jump on it, it's very difficult.
The last one appears in front of the finish line. If you want to get gold coins, it's very simple, but after taking it, it's difficult to jump on.
Impossible gold coins
At the two left and right platforms, there are some gold coins. If you want to get them all, it is difficult. For players who collect all the gold coins, this is a big hurdle.
Timely stop loss
Before the finish line, if you need to step on the turtle, the failure rate of going back is very high.(But you can jump back with a sprint.)
