When uploading screenshots that are sprite-based, upload at 1x zoom. For NES/SNES, it would be 256x224. I have a whole guide on expected resolutions. Adjust your emulator settings appropriately before taking screenshots. Why upload smaller? We can stretch it like so at it's correct resolution: - This image is actually 38x37! Also redundant pixels adds to file size exponentially with each enlargement above 1x. -- 20:13, 30 October 2016 (EDT) | When uploading screenshots that are sprite-based, upload at 1x zoom. Do i need to upload images at 1x? Will something bad happen to me? Sorry that i'm asking out. YoshiFan155 (talk) 01:20, 31 October 2016 (EDT) | |||
You won't get in trouble for uploading above 1x. It's just that we don't need enlargements of sprite-based games. Just standard size. We can enlarge on-the-fly as I demonstrated to you.
