:I just want to chime in and say that removing comments is perfectly acceptable in other wikis (most notably, Wikipedia); according to the wikis, if you're following good faith, you can assume that those that remove comments indicate that they have read the comments. This doesn't mean it's okay to do it here, but wikis often have contradictory policies within each other, and new users usually have no time to read every single policy before editing, so KP should've given an informal message rather than jump in and give a reminder. This is NOT undermining admin authority in any way. Remember, administrators are users with an unlocked toolset.
