:Birdo is NOT female in Japan.  The whole point of Birdo's character is that it's a MALE named Catherine who likes to be called Cathy.  The original SMB2 manual was a direct translation of what it says in Japanese, only changing Catherine/Cathy to Birdo/Birdetta.  I'm willing to accept the use of "she" and "her," but I will not budge on the gender section.  Please stop deleting/adding information that is not correct.
