Oh, okay, I think you can probably leave it on the list then; I'm relatively sure that the same thing happens with a lot of other species on the list as well (well, maybe not a lot, but a generous few). Like [[Cosmic Tox Box]], for instance: this redirects to [[Tox Box]] much in the same way that [[Cosmic Scuttle Bug]] redirects to [[Scuttle Bug]]. I think this is done because Cosmic Scuttle Bug or Cosmic Tox Box are not important enough to warrant an article, but still need to be adequately represented on the list of species nevertheless. This also may be done because ''Cosmic'' Scuttle Bug or ''Cosmic'' Tox Box are actually not real species at all, and the "Cosmic" part in their names merely indicates the first time that they appeared as such in a game; that is, the first time they have appeared in space (the fact that ''[[Super Mario Galaxy]]'' is given as the game from which they came from would lead me to believe this), of course, that's just one user's guess... :)

Well, I think that by putting that template on a page, you're kind of automatically nominating it to be a Featured Article at the same time, know what I mean? If I had to hazard a guess though (assuming that is incorrect), I would say that putting that template on an article and not nominating it for Featured Article status would probably be frowned upon or seen as counterproductive, because other than being used for articles that have been nominated to be Featured Articles, it really has no other purpose. The only exception I could think of would possibly be if you just wanted to put such a template on your userpage or user talkpage, as I have seen some other users do things like that in the past. I honestly don't know where putting various templates on one's userpage or user talkpage just for the sake of having them there for decoration stands with regard to the rules, as I have never had cause to do so myself, so please don't think that I'm advocating that or saying that it's okay...I'm not really leaning one way or another, I'm just telling you what I know. You may want to consult a Sysop or Patroller for more information, as they may be able to assist you further. Just out of curiosity though, why would you want to do that anyway?

Hmmm...well, from what I can see, he/she appears to be a relatively new user, so it's possible that they are just inexperienced with how nominating articles for Featured Article status actually works...if this is the case, the user should probably not be given a reminder, but just told nicely about it on their talkpage (again, I'm not suggesting that you should or should not do this, I'm just telling you what it looks like to me). I don't really know all the specifics of the situation, and I can't read minds, so I think our best bet would be if you maybe asked a Sysop to ask the user about it on their talkpage, or again, maybe they could just look into it directly...

While some don't have a conjectural tag I checked the histories of the pages and there was no indication that the names were anything but just descriptive.
