:To create a signature, you need to create the page [[User:RussellsDad/sig]]. Put the coding for your signature there. Once you did that, click on "my preferences" up there on the top of the page. You will find a section that reads "New Signature", as well as a textfield. Enter ''<nowiki>{{SUBST:nosubst|User:RussellsDad/sig}}</nowiki>'' there. Check the box that reads "Treat signature as wikitext (without an automatic link)". After that, every time you sign your comments with <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>, your custom signature will be used instead of the default one.

:Unfortunately, new users can't create pages right off the bat. You need to wait until you get auto-confirmed. If you don't want to wait that long, I can also create your signature page and user page for you, so you can edit them at your leisure. - {{User:Edofenrir/sig}} 18:59, 16 March 2011 (EDT)

::::The mechanic of auto-confirm is somewhat strange. For most people it takes a week, although it tends to vary. I remember it took a month for me for some reason. Sorry to break it to ya but I'm not a huge fan of your sig because it leads to a page that does not exist. Also your repetetive characters (yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa) really gets annoying and is somewhat like spam. {{User:Lm/sig}} 21:48, 17 March 2011 (EDT)
