| :This still applies. You can click "Show preview" to test and see what your edits will look like before saving, but your edits are resulting in broken coding and the template you made doesn't make sense. There also no need to mark "commercials" as an appearance (unless they only show up in commercials) as they are for the game anyway. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 23:17, July 11, 2020 (EDT)

| so I clicked on already mentioned, I read the trivia and it was mentioned there. now I know it was already mentioned, also I did the math July is the seventh month, which is when the arcade cabinet Mario Bros came out, March is the third month which is when Mario Bros Game & Watch handheld came out, so I did the math, I subtracted 3 from 7 and what do I get, 4, So the Game & Watch game came 4 months before, I had to replace a few with 4 {{unsigned|Rowbro}}

| == Re: questionable edits ==

|
| |
| I found the extra Wario quotes to be questionable because the article only needs one quote at the top. Also, they were poorly formatted. If you need help on how to properly format text, don't be afraid to go over the wiki's writing guidelines. Thanks! | Stop forgetting to sign your comments. I even just reminded you on [[Talk:Blinky]]. A warning will be issued if you continue to leave your posts unsigned. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 21:52, December 29, 2020 (EST)

| == Forum talk ==

|
| |
| Please do not post forum talk on talk pages. Talk pages are for discussion relating to the quality of the article. If you want to chat about certain games, go to the [https://www.marioboards.com/ forums]. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 06:22, July 16, 2020 (EDT)
| |
| :You did it again just now. If you're going to put something on a talk page, it has to be discussion about the quality of the article itself. Please don't do it again 'cause it will be removed on sight. {{User:Keyblade Master/sig}}

| |
| == Warning ==
| |
|
| |
| {{warning|2=edit warring, adding unsourced information}}
| |
| You were already reminded about not repeatedly forcing previously removed edits onto the article without any reasoning. Your edit on ''[[Super Mario Bros. 3]]'' was removed multiple times already because you failed to provide a source for this edit. Check the edit history page rather than edit-warring, and if it's true, ''provide proof''. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 03:15, July 28, 2020 (EDT)
| |
|
| |
| ==First appearance speculation==
| |
| Please do not change the first appearances of characters like you did with [[Toad]] and [[Toadette]] out of speculation, and especially do not edit war it. Speculation is one thing we definitely do not allow on here. Not to mention that the image you tried to put in Toadette's page looks nothing like Toadette. The first appearances set now are definite appearances and should stay that way. {{User:Keyblade Master/sig}}
| |
|
| |
| == Writing ==
| |
|
| |
| You need to work on your writing when editing on articles. Specifically:
| |
|
| |
| *Don't write in a casual/informal manner with phrases like "Turns out..." and like you're talking to the reader. Remember you're editing an encyclopedia, so it should be written in a neutral tone.
| |
| **By extension, don't use first-person and second-person writing with words like "we" and "you". When referring to the player, use "the player".
| |
| *Use proper grammar. I notice you forget to end your last sentences with periods.
| |
| *Game titles must be italicised (e.g. [[Donkey Kong (game)|Donkey Kong]] the arcade game should be formatted as ''[[Donkey Kong (game)|Donkey Kong]]'').
| |
| *Your [[Donkey Kong Jr.]] edit also broke coding on the page. Please ''preview'' your edits before you save them.
| |
|
| |
| I strongly suggest you read [[MarioWiki:Manual of Style]] and [[MarioWiki:Good writing]]. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 23:47, August 7, 2020 (EDT)
| |
| :Just reminding you that you still didn't italicise the game title for your recent [[Super Mario (series)]] edit, and you didn't leave a full stop at the end. You italicise game titles like this: <nowiki>''Super Mario 3D All-Stars''</nowiki> (two apostrophes on each side, not quotation marks). {{User:Keyblade Master/sig}} 19:37, March 4, 2021 (EST)
| |
|
| |
| == Infoboxes ==
| |
|
| |
| You really need to stop adding things to infoboxes out of speculation. Just because Bowser can breathe fire doesn't magically make him a dragon (he looks nothing like a dragon either) and where did Luigi's age come from? Also, [[Template:character infobox|this page]] shows what parameters work with character infoboxes (even though "affiliation" is the only one there that must not be used in articles), because there have been times you tried adding parameters in infoboxes that didn't exist like the age one. {{User:Keyblade Master/sig}}
| |
|
| |
| == Reminder ==
| |
|
| |
| {{reminder|2=editing infoboxes out of speculation}}
| |
| You have been told many times now to stop this, and we especially don't follow fan theories. {{User:Keyblade Master/sig}}
| |
| :Also, regarding the thing with comparing Cranky Kong, please take into account that gorillas have shorter lifespans ''anyway'', so that still is nothing but baseless speculation. | |
| == All-Stars ==
| |
|
| |
| The point of "remaster vs remake" aside, you are removing information from the ''[[Super Mario All-Stars]]'' page that doesn't match your edit summary, and you are changing writing styles that conflicts with our [[MarioWiki:Manual of Style|Manual of Style]] ("weren't" should be "were not", "he/she" should be "they", for example). Additionally, if you notice your edit was removed, contact the remover and come to an agreement before adding the change back. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 01:12, December 23, 2020 (EST)
| |
|
| |
| You seem to have edited an old revision of the article, which caused edits made after that (including those grammar changes) to be removed as well. Make sure you're editing the newest revision of the article (without the "'''You are editing an out-of-date revision of this page.'''" warning at the top). {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 01:19, December 23, 2020 (EST)

| {{last warning}}
| |
| For still repeatedly re-adding previously removed edits and not signing your comments, both of which you were reminded for. The latter is not difficult and I even reminded you ''twice'' of this recently. If this keeps up, a block will be issued. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 19:40, December 30, 2020 (EST)

| :Nintendo officially classes Mario as its main mascot, when I google search "Nintendo mascot", Mario is all that comes up. Kirby's physical appearance does not make him a mascot, and Pikachu being the face of Pokemon does not make him the face of Nintendo. Super Mario is Nintendo's flagship franchise, and Mario himself is the one they use to represent them. {{User:Keyblade Master/sig}} 12:50, April 13, 2021 (EDT)
| |
| ::Kirby is HAL, Pikachu is The Pokemon Company. They can be considered the mascots of their respective companies, but not Nintendo. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 13:01, April 13, 2021 (EDT)
| |
|
| |
| Alex 95, Kirby is HAl Laboratory, and Pikachu is Game Freak, I guess it comes to the realization that they are the mascots of their own development companies. Making both Pokemon and Kirby second-party franchises to nintendo. What I am getting at is that Nintendo does have collective mascots--[[User:Rowbro|Rowbro]] ([[User talk:Rowbro|talk]]) 19:24, April 14, 2021 (EDT)
| |
| :As I said above, Mario is the only one of those Nintendo properly uses as a mascot, so it's still inaccurate to call him "a Nintendo mascot". {{User:Keyblade Master/sig}} 20:00, April 14, 2021 (EDT)
