[[Mariowiki:Canonicity|There is no canon or continuity in the Mario franchise]], so it's possible for someone to die in one game, then appear in another. (I may agree that Boos are more important in the ''Luigi's Mansion'' series, but someone else may argue that they're more important in the ''Mario Kart'' series.)
