| Regarding moving your wiki, you'll simply need to set up mediawiki on an independent site. It seems from the post you linked that [[User:Porplemontage|Porplemontage]] is willing to set this up for you, so you'll want to coordinate that with him. After the site is up and running, you can download Mediawiki from [http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki this site] and set it up on your new website.

| I believe you can download your wiki's database from the statistics page. There is a tool in mediawiki that will allow this database dump to be imported into the new wiki in a relatively painless way. I am not sure exactly what will be required to set up Monaco (the current wikia skin) on an independent wiki. The default is Monobook, like we have here.
