I'm sorry, but some of these are either policy-driven or self-evident, and thus don't require much of any discussion to begin with, just routine second-guessing the information present in the articles. All it does is slow down or obfuscate sensible moves that would have been made a while ago by editors more familiar with those subjects. What happens if discussion stalls anyway? We just leave certain outstanding changes to obscurity? I don't really get it since the meta category templates were hidden for a reason, I presume. :The proposal didn't account for any exceptions, so either there's a discussion somewhere or the template doesn't go on the page, simple as that. :I made some tiny digging: no, the few times I added Italian names for the enemies that appeared in SMW2YI, I did use the names from other games (YIDS, YNI, YWW and YCW) nothing invented. Might have been two tiny cases in the past (something like "well, we have [[Skeleton Goonie|Skeletro Gabby]] and [[Flightless Goonie|Gabby senz'ali]] so of course the "[[Flightless Skeleton Goonie]]" must be "Skeletro Gabby senz'ali" even tho it isn't written anywhere else." [I tended to mix Wiki's and Wikia's less strict rules]), but those have been rolledback due to lack of official references. Hey there, I saw Yoshi and Blue Toad's infobox images updated with renders that hold a Red Shell. Is the policy correct in that the images should be just the character if possible? :I don't mind using the images of them holding the red shells for the same reason Doc von Schmeltwick said about Nabbit with the mushroom, that the red shell is an iconic item throughout the Mario franchise and doesn't really specialise the game in any way. The rule about items only really applies if said item is specifically for the game or series such as sports gear or the ''Mario + Rabbids'' weapons. Luigi's SMBW artwork however I think is a hard no since that shows him using the Parachute Cap ability which is exclusive to the game, and Luigi's hat is never that big. {{User:Swallow/sig}} 05:26, October 24, 2023 (EDT)

:I'm no expert on the subject, but several Super Mario RPG enemy articles already do have a stat table for the remake which is taken directly from the game's monster list. We saw that proposal passed, and in the archive, it's marked as done; however, we did notice a few pages are currently present in the categories that we did mention in our tremendous breakdown. So um, here we be, to ask if it's fine if we cull the following:
* Every instance of a shapeshifter should be moved to the shapeshifter category if they aren't there already. (e.g. [[Shadoo]], [[Belome]], or Ditto)
* Every instance of a clone that can look(a)like anybody, not just one character, should be moved to clones (e.g. [[Bubble Clone]] or [[Imposter]])
* Fighting Polygons
* [[Gold Mini Mario]] from Mario
* Luigi should be removed from Mario's category.
* Wario should be removed from Mario's category.
* Waluigi should be removed from Luigi's category.

Both her and False Bowser appear in cutscenes and play a role in the story of Subspace Emissary to some extent. The rest of the False Characters (including False Mario, Luigi, and Donkey Kong) are fought near the end of the game, are only seen in gameplay, and look different from the False Characters that appear in earlier cutscenes. These False Characters are instances of clones that can look like (almost) anybody in the game, so I didn't add them to Mario's, [[:Category:Luigi lookalikes|Luigi's]], or [[:Category:Donkey Kong lookalikes|Donkey Kong's]] lookalike categories.

So in my experience, I lost to the Shadow Queen and when I went to retry from my previous save (which was just outside of the Palace of Shadow Depths), the pipe appeared there when I started the file up. It's located at the bottom of the staircase in the same part of the room where the Save Block is located and it leads to the entrance room, a short ways from the Thousand Year Door. And I can confirm it definitely did appear there before I defeated the Shadow Queen. Maybe this warrants a wider discussion on the wiki, but my impression of the categories for real-like subjects, like animals, is that they are largely used for denotating primary design influences. So while [[Snoutlet]] is not a pig in a canonical sense, I think they should still be in the Pig category due to their name across all languages, that fact that Snoutlet feels inclined to specify that they are not a pig due to the apparent physical resemblance, and the fact that it appears to be based on a piggy bank (even with a coin slot-like indentation on its back) would indicate it its design deliberately derives from pigs as much as something like the [[Pig Head Statue]], [[Piggy Bank]], and [[Poink]], which are appropriately in the Pig category. Hi! Just got your message. Forgive me for not realizing this rule sooner. I've been chatting with Blinker regarding whether we should move the Flurrie page under its "Madame" title. Blinker told me that the text dump where several instance of Flurrie's name isn't preceded by the "Madame" title as with Bobbery's page too. == Overhaul of item lists. ==

So, as you know I have been adding Block pages onto the wiki. Not too long ago, I finished with adding remake stuff from PMTTYD. Now I decided to overhaul ALL item pages (regarding the RPGs only) and already done the parts concerning descriptions, Statistics and See also sections. Now I want to do the Location sections themselves. My idea is to change the table to look the same as on the pages for The Origami King. I have already done three pages on my sandbox, so could you check it out? Afterwards, tell me if you prefer the originals (what is on pages now) or what I have done (on sandbox).

Also regarding some pages (mostly hidden stuff like Hidden Treasure or Hidden Blocks), should I also do it in the sections (same as the two other pages on the sandbox) or keep it as it is and just change the table?

So, when I was adding stuff to the item lists from the RPGs, a user named Zootalo asked me if I was gonna do the items which can be found on the field. After much consideration, I decided to do it and to make it one step further, also add items given by NPCs. Since SMRPG locations didn't have tables for all items, I decided to do them myself. I just finished with playing both original and remake. Now, I just need to upload images and then move the tables to their appropriate pages.

So, the reason why I'm writing here, could you check my Sandbox first to find anything to be changed before I start uploading images? Your help here will help me when I'll continue to do the same to the games in Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi series after a brief break.

you must understand, I'm not trying to cause trouble on the wiki, there's my story: I first started editing in may 21, 2024 and when it was finished, I felt like I can really get things to make sense around here,bi even started creating discussion pages, despite certain users not appreciating me edits, I never give up, but then, I make a mistake, I forgot to sign comments, when someone messaged me about the problem, I didn't know what to say, I guess I got the wrong idea. when I was blocked, I felt really anxious about the ban, then soon I realised my mistake. So I keep remembering how to sign my comments, but then users still keep blocking me. The more they keep blocking me, the more it felt like I wasn't allowed to edit due to the simple fact that I'm new, then I realised my mistake again was I keep evading bans, which is bad, but I'm doing it for a reason. so I'm telling you to stop blocking me because if you keep baning me, then I'll have no choice but to keep evading bans, no matter how many times you keep blocking me if you won't stop this behaviour . Hi. Sorry to bug you, but I think I noticed a pattern in article creation that I think I should ask an admin about. There are a few more conjectural Sticker Star Toad articles on the wiki than I remember seeing in the past. This is relevant because back in June/July 2020 (or around then) I made one such article, for a Toad in [[Outlook Point]] who offers information for [[World 3 (Paper Mario: Sticker Star)]]. It was deleted for being just too darned minor and nameless, and therefore in violation of [[MarioWiki:Minor NPCs]]. However, in the present, with [[Swindler Toad]], [[Crybaby Toad]], [[Attack Piece Toad]], and [[Lookout Toad]] existing, I think there may be cause to revisit the topic. I have the old article on my computer, I think it was the most recent text before deletion. Would the wiki mind if I just reuploaded it with no changes or is that a bad idea? I don't especially want to make a second pass on the prose right now because I'm tunneling on Super Mario Run, but if I have to I'll think about doing so in late December.
