Well,I found out in the guide book of New super maroi bros. that they are pat of the buzzy beetle famliy...perhaps cause the more look like a red spike top(a red buzzy beetle with a spike)?

-Yeah!!In one of the worlds,I saw buzzy beetles on the ceiling,and then droped down spinning to get me.Later in a diffrent level,there was SPINIES on the ceiling!And they did what the buzzy beetles did!!Spike tops can walk sideways and upside down but do not do the spin and drop down thing.
