Once you actually place the code into your signature page, you must add it to your [[Special:Preferences|Preferences]] page by using <code><nowiki>{{subst:nosubst|User:MinecraftFan/sig}}</nowiki></code> and then checking the box that reads "Treat signature as wikitext".
