| FYI "it's" with an apostrophe is short for "it is", and "its" with none is the possessive form of "it" (so "its owner" is correct, not "it's owner"). Also, avoid adding file links for images that haven't been uploaded yet; they should be uploaded first, then displayed on the page. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 07:21, February 10, 2023 (EST) | | FYI "it's" with an apostrophe is short for "it is", and "its" with none is the possessive form of "it" (so "its owner" is correct, not "it's owner"). | ::Hi, good work with the item location pages so far. I wanted to make sure you're aware you can use the same picture for multiple different items. What I mean for example, is a Question Block floating directly above a Not-Bottomless Hole, or a Collectible Treasure that comes from a Question Block. Those entries can share the same image, which should be more efficient and take less resources. It isn't always the best choice if there is alot of information on screen, but it is something you can do. {{User:Zaku/sig}} 12:19, February 15, 2023 (EST)

| :::Hey Mid188, first of all you've done a great job helping with the ? Block page and also filling out the other two item location pages for PMTOK. Regarding the Great Sea and the Shangri-Spa Toad Statues, I actually plan to use the map Captain T. Ode gives to Mario to denote where each statue must be found and interacted with, as well as briefly describe where on each island. Perhaps this warrants it having multiple entries but regardless it is a unique case. {{User:Zaku/sig}} 12:45, March 7, 2023 (EST)

| ::::I've added the reformatted tables to your work on the [[List of Collectible Treasures in Paper Mario: The Origami King]]! All that's left is to reformat the [[Not-Bottomless Hole]] page (which should be the simplest) and transfer them to the individual pages. ^>^ It's been a pleasure working with you. {{User:Zaku/sig}} 20:41, March 8, 2023 (EST)

|
| |
| I think lists of ? Blocks would be useful regardless if the games have counters or not. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 21:10, November 17, 2023 (EST)

|
| |
| The black border isn't necessary. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 20:30, November 18, 2023 (EST)
| |
|
| |
| Why does it need to be that resolution? It's not the original game's resolution and doing that just stretches out the image. [[:File:Mushroom Way Treasure 1 (Cropped).png|This cropped version]] is good. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 20:51, November 18, 2023 (EST)
| |
|
| |
| The screenshots should be accurate to the game's original resolution. If you're unable to get original-res images yourself, that's fine, upload what you have, but don't revert the ones that are already on the wiki. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 08:13, November 24, 2023 (EST)

| I think the Hidden Treasures list should be a standalone rather than merged together with the non-hidden treasure boxes. It's more helpful and direct for readers who just want the locations for the Hidden Treasures. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 04:37, November 25, 2023 (EST)

| One [[List of treasure boxes in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars]] page for the non-hidden treasure boxes, separate from the already existing list on [[Hidden Treasure]]. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 07:27, November 25, 2023 (EST)

|
| |
| Yes, exactly like that. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 20:19, November 25, 2023 (EST)
| |
|
| |
| Hope you don't mind if I insert myself into this, I just want to say I think the newly created list of Treasure Boxes should take the remake into account such as using the new names and also including images from said version. All Treasure Box locations in the remake and what they give are exactly the same as the original (though two of the weapons from the [[Six-Door Chamber]] are switched), so making a list page for that version as well would just be redundant. {{User:Swallow/sig}} 11:31, November 26, 2023 (EST)
| |
| :If you're also going to play [[Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey]], I may have another idea for something I've wanted for quite a while but can't do myself. The [[Mushroom Ball]] article could use screenshots of their locations in the remake; some of them aren't 1:1 with their locations in the original. {{User:Swallow/sig}} 14:04, November 26, 2023 (EST)

| I don't believe there's a page for those special ? Blocks. I think the list should be for the common blocks containing items (?, M, L) like the previous ''M&L'' games' lists, and can include the "switch" M/L/! Blocks and special ? Blocks as long as there's descriptions explaining how they differ. More special-function blocks like the Puzzle Blocks and those Empty Blocks can just have sections on their relevant articles and have a notice at the top of the relevant location section in the blocks list, e.g.:
| |
|
| |
| :''For a list of Puzzle Sack blocks, see [[Puzzle Sack]].''
| |
|
| |
| Body Slam Panels aren't blocks, so they'd just get a section on their own page. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 06:13, January 26, 2024 (EST)

|
| |
| Just one screenshot is enough. The bottom screenshot would serve no purpose. As for the paperisation blocks, similar to above, they can be listed on the [[Paperize]] page (it can even be expanded to include other paperisable objects if necessary) and linked to on the blocks list page(s). {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 06:37, February 5, 2024 (EST)

|
| |
| That doesn't seem necessary since they're basically the same thing across the museum. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 07:22, February 12, 2024 (EST)

| The Dream Team block list is expectedly enormous. Recently there has been an effort to split large pages into smaller ones to reduce loading times on a page such as [[List of Super Paper Mario quotes by character (A–J)]]. I think it couldn't hurt to have the block list split up either, my primary idea is seperate pages for real world and dream world listings. {{User:Nightwicked Bowser/sig}} 20:47, April 6, 2024 (EDT)

| If they're under the same counter, yes, I think it'd be more convenient to have them together. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 09:14, May 30, 2024 (EDT)

| There was a [[MarioWiki:Proposals/Archive/63#Rename_pages_with_the_full_Super_Mario_RPG:_Legend_of_the_Seven_Stars_title|proposal]] for something related to this, but I believe that only concerned titles with identifiers and not list pages. Maybe leave the title as it is for now but I can see why it should be moved to a different title (i.e. just "Super Mario RPG") if the page applies to both games, and something like that would require another proposal ([[List of shops in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars]], [[List of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars quotes]], and I think [[Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars level up progressions]] would be a similar case too). {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 10:12, June 30, 2024 (EDT)

| It seems Goombella refers to the forts with the Clefts and Bristles as "part of Shhwonk Fortress", which matches the UI and map, but the outdoor scenes between them and before the main fortress are the "path to" unlike what the UI and map say. Just go by Goombella's tattles as well for now for consistency and to avoid confusion for people browsing the website, but the inconsistency between the tattles and map/UI is something worth bringing up on the talk page. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 08:17, July 22, 2024 (EDT)

| Yes. Not all of those blocks containing items are ? Blocks, so the title isn't accurate. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 08:26, July 28, 2024 (EDT)

|
| |
| Nice work with the item location images for the Mario RPGs. Was curious to know if you plan to upload images for the field items in the TTYD remake? --[[User:Zootalo|Zootalo]] ([[User talk:Zootalo|talk]]) 13:02, July 15, 2024 (EDT)
| |
| :No worries! Regarding the items obtainable on the field from other RPGs: the ones I can think of right now beyond SMRPG and TTYD would be the first Paper Mario and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. As for the remake items hidden on the field: if they exist and have already been listed in the location articles, then yes, they should have images for them. One thing to keep in mind would be the X-Naut Fortress crane game having new items that [[X-Naut Fortress#Post game items|appear only after reaching the post game]]. Hidden block images have already been uploaded by other users, so you don't have to worry about those. In any case, thanks! ‐‐[[User:Zootalo|Zootalo]] ([[User talk:Zootalo|talk]]) 19:33, July 15, 2024 (EDT)

| ::Hi! Honestly, I didn't even consider the NPC items! If you want to add those with the regular items found on the ground, that's fine with me—I don't have a preference either way. Thanks again! --[[User:Zootalo|Zootalo]] ([[User talk:Zootalo|talk]]) 19:42, August 28, 2024 (EDT)

| == RE: Help with the template ==
| |
|
| |
| I'll actually tell you now that you should just use a standard wikitable format rather than the template. I talked with the admins and we agreed there was no benefit for templates like these ({{tem|appearances list}} is another example) since there's a chance users will rearrange rows or add new rows somewhere in the middle of the table, which would be very tedious in a template format since the numbers would have to be changed as well, so we're weeding them out. But if you want to just add the images to the existing template tables for the time being, I've made changes to the template; just add the following:
| |
|
| |
| <pre>
| |
| |locationimage1=[[File:Example.png|200px]]
| |
| |locationimager1=[[File:Example.png|200px]]
| |
|
| |
| |locationimage2=[[File:Example.png|200px]]
| |
| |locationimager2=[[File:Example.png|200px]]
| |
| </pre>
| |
|
| |
| {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 01:05, October 6, 2024 (EDT)
| |
|
| |
| Again, if you're adding new tables, use the "wikitable" code instead of the {{tem|RPG item locations}} template. {{User:Mario jc/sig}} 12:08, October 11, 2024 (EDT)

| == Paper Mario TTYD Screenshots ==
| |
|
| |
| I noticed you did a lot of uploads for ''[[Paper Mario RPG]]'', like [[List of treasure chests in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door]]. I believe you were using {{wp|Dolphin (emulator)}}. I suggest redoing them. There was a change a few months ago that makes taking screenshots much better. I have it documented [[User:Wildgoosespeeder/sandbox#GCN/Wii|here]]. '''Raw Internal Resolution''' is the big change that allows for the kind of [[Special:ListFiles/Wildgoosespeeder|screenshots I am uploading]] much more easily than [[User:Wildgoosespeeder/sandbox/outdated#GCN/Wii|before]]. [https://github.com/Zephiles/TTYD-Practice-Codes TTYD Practice Codes] This will also save you a bunch of time having to play the game over again. I'm bouncing all over the place with this thing! --{{User:Wildgoosespeeder/sig}} 10:31, October 13, 2024 (EDT)

| :I only read, write, and speak English. I can use {{wp|Google Translate}}, but that may come across crude or not convey the message well at all. --{{User:Wildgoosespeeder/sig}} 13:47, October 13, 2024 (EDT)
